Frequently asked questions

The FAQs below are designed to provide guidance and resolve common queries regarding NADvance products.

General

What is NAD+?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in all living cells, essential for life and health. It serves as a critical helper molecule for enzymes, enabling key chemical reactions that drive cellular metabolism, energy production, and DNA repair.

Why subcutaneous injection?

Unlike oral NAD⁺ precursors, subcutaneous administration bypasses first-pass hepatic metabolism, delivering higher and more consistent plasma NAD⁺ levels. It also avoids the time, cost, and clinical burden of intravenous NAD⁺ infusions, making it ideal for regular use.

How do I use the NADvance self-injection pen?

Please read our Instructions page.

What areas of the body can I use for my NAD+ injection?

For a NAD+ self-injection pen, the best injection sites are areas with a layer of fatty tissue just under the skin — this helps with absorption and comfort. It is recommended to use areas such as the belly, buttocks or thigh.
Tips for best results:
- Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.
- Always clean the area with an alcohol swab first.
- Avoid areas that are bruised, red, swollen, or hardened.

How often am I supposed to use the pen?

There are 20 doses in the vial. It is recommended to administer one dose daily for the first three days, followed by one dose every other day. Under this regimen, a single pen provides sufficient doses for slightly more than five weeks.

Can I share my pen with someone?

Do not share your device with others. Sharing can lead to risk of infection, incorrect dosing or safety issues.

How should I store my pen?

Store the pen in the refrigerator (2–8°C). Keep away from direct light. Do not freeze. If left at room temperature for more than 4 hours, return to the fridge and use within 24 hours or discard.

What’s the right way to dispose of used needles and vials?

You should dispose of your NAD+ pen’s needles and empty vials safely in the provided sharps bin.

Can I travel with my NADvance pen?

Yes, you can. Transport cartridges in a cool pack or insulated bag. Avoid exposure to temperatures above 25°C for prolonged periods. Carry your pen and supplies as hand luggage, not in checked baggage.
